We're Back in the Field and the Season Is Officially On

We're fired up to be back outside and getting our hands dirty. The season is kicking off in a big way, and we're starting right where it means the most - our father's backyard. There's something about the first job of the season that sets the tone for everything that follows.

Here's what we're working with: a full backyard overhaul. The area behind the house was basically a blank canvas that needed serious prep before anything permanent could go in. Before a single paver gets set or any lawn gets established, the groundwork has to be done right. That means grading, excavation, and precision leveling - the unglamorous stuff that makes or breaks a finished outdoor space.

You'll notice the laser level set up in the middle of the yard. That's not just for show. Getting the grade dialed in before laying a patio base is one of the most critical steps in the whole process. Skip it or rush it, and you're looking at drainage problems and uneven surfaces down the road. We don't cut corners, especially not here.

The skid steer is on-site and ready to move material. The deck framing near the back door gives you a sense of where this whole space is headed - we're building out a full outdoor living area that ties together hardscape, structure, and eventually fresh lawn to bring it all together. It's going to be a complete yard.

More jobs are spinning up next week. This is just the beginning. When you work with a crew that takes prep this seriously - on their own father's property, no less - you know every other job gets that same attention.
