Fresh Sod Install Gives This Front Yard a Clean New Look

Some yards just need a full reset. Patchy, dead grass that's been struggling through heat and drought isn't something you can mow or fertilize your way out of - at some point, starting fresh is the right call. That's exactly where this yard was at.

Here's what we were working with: a front lawn that had given up. The grass was thin, dry, and beaten down - especially in the boulevard strip between the sidewalk and the curb where the soil was nearly bare under two large trees. The main yard wasn't in much better shape. It needed more than a quick fix.

We came in, prepped the area, and got fresh sod laid across the front yard and along the side. Once it was down, we got water on it right away. Getting that initial watering dialed in matters a lot with a new sod install - you want the roots making contact with the soil as fast as possible. That's not something you want to skip or delay.

The difference is hard to miss. The front of the home went from dry and patchy to clean, green, and uniform. New sod does a lot for curb appeal fast - and that matters whether you're trying to sell or just take pride in how your property looks from the street.

A proper sod install isn't just about dropping grass down and walking away. Prep work, tight seams, and immediate watering are what actually make it take root and thrive. That's what we focused on here, and the results speak for themselves.
